Eligibility and Age Criteria

Candidates must ensure they meet the educational qualifications required for their specific teaching level. The board mandates specific academic and professional training qualifications as follows:

Primary Teacher (Level-I)

Applicants must have passed their 12th-grade examination and possess a valid Diploma in Education (D.Ed. or JBT).

Secondary Teacher (Level-II)

Applicants must hold a Graduate degree along with a professional degree in Education (B.Ed. or B.El.Ed).

The minimum age limit for all candidates is 18 years, with no specified upper age limit. Age relaxation is applicable as per government regulations based on the cutoff date of June 10, 2026.

CTET Exam Pattern and Timing

The examination consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses. Candidates are allotted 2 hours and 30 minutes for each paper.
